The Great Wave off Kanagawa (1830-1833), also known as The Great Wave, is a woodcut by the Japanese artist Hokusai. The painting depicts a scenario in which a large wave threatens three ships off the coast of Sagami Bay while Mount Fuji rises in the background. There are copies of the engraving in many collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the British Museum in London. It is also available in "pineapple", Soprano and Concerto formats. Includes a cover.
